SuperNova™ Purging Compound Product Grades

SuperNova™ Regular Grade Purging Compound regular grade is used for purging all thermoplastic resins (including engineering grade resins) processed up to 550ºF (288ºC). It can be used with all types of injection molding, extrusion or blow molding process equipment.

SuperNova™ HT Grade Purging Compound is used for purging engineering grade thermoplastic resins processed above 550ºF (288ºC) and for other high-viscosity resins such as high hardness rigid PVC's or extremely stiff polyolefins. SuperNova™ HT is also the grade of choice for use in extrusion blow molding systems that process heat sensitive resins like PVC.

SuperNova™ LT Grade Purging Compound is used in some specialized cases for purging low viscosity thermoplastic resins. It can be used with all types of process equipment. Please contact NOVACHEM for guidance before using this product grade.

SuperNova™ Purging Compound Product Forms - All three grades are available in two forms: Ready-Mix, which is used as supplied and Concentrate, to which the end user adds an appropriate carrier resin. Refer to the Mixing Instructions for details on the use of Concentrate grades.

SuperNova™ Purging Compound Product Packaging - Our standard package is a 25 lb. net wt. box with heavy gage poly liner and a conveniently removable die-cut lid. We also provide 100 lb. net wt. fiber drums and 1,000 lb. net wt. Gaylord containers if requested.
